Every year there are many sea turtle nests spread out along my Nana's beach with yellow warning tape marking off the area. One nest hatched while we were there. 16 (of maybe 100) in this particular hatch didn't make it to sea so the volunteers waited until the sun went down to free them; they then follow the light of the moon and swim out to sea. It was amazing to see them released and make their way through the sand to the ocean. They are so tiny. This was a prior childhood dream come true.
