Last of Houston...

I met a fresh pair of identical twin girls at church. From the moment I met them, they were pulling on my heart strings. Will this yearning for another set every go away?

2 hour flight delay with these rugrats was exhausting

My closest friend from high school's brother was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at age 32.  He and his family are big tennis players. They are likening his battle to recovery as "Andy's Match." We wore our shirts proud. Charles is clearly very upset by Andy's diagnosis.

Bubble Smocks...

double-dog harassement

If you can look beyond the dirt, you'll see the most adorable face.

Charles is just eating dirt

The gold green is at my brother/wife's apartment complex. This is walking back to their apartment. My iphone took this.

Ragin' Cajun Crawfish...

It's crawfish season! Walking in this place was like stepping out of Texas into Louisiana for the moment.

Introducing Clyde to crawfish...

Our favorite New Orleans restaurant has come to Houston. It's actually a different restuarant. But same family ownership. Still very good.

For those that do not know what Pralines are--unfortunate souls.

So nice having Jason, Katherine, and Michael meet us for brunch. Too quick of a weekend but great visiting their home with them in their element.

Houston Livestock Rodeo & Tim McGraw...

Three years ago (here), my family enjoyed a great weekend in Houston around the livestock show and rodeo with the Brooks & Dunn's concert following. This was our second time attending and surely not our last. This is quite the Texan event that could easily be an all-day affair. The stock yards are neat to walk through and see the animals been shown and out for display. There were endless rows of merchandise booths selling anything that falls under the cowboy genre. And a huge carnival located outside that we bypassed.

The event takes place in the Reliant Stadium that holds 70,000+ football fans.

Hook 'em Horns

We saw pigglets being born. Yep, that's his umbilical cord. As soon as this little guy was cleaned off, he went straight for his mom's teet

Every night there is a concert following the rodeo. This particular Saturday was Tim McGraw. Love Tim! Because the venue was so huge it made for a different experience. It wasn't as intimate but I enjoyed sitting back and just listening. The stage revolved in circles so everyone was exposed.
